Become a MAPS Member

The MidAtlantic Pastel Society (MAPS) is open to anyone interested in the pastel medium, from the beginning student to the professional artist. The only requirements for membership are that the prospective member must be 18 or older and pay annual dues. Annual Dues are $35 and are due by June 1st if renewing, or at time of joining if a new member. (Please note that field trips or other special programs may require additional fees.) Our membership year runs from June 1st to May 31st.  New members may apply to join at any time during the year; membership dues are not prorated, except that new member dues received after our March meeting will be extended through the next fiscal year.

Benefits of Membership in MAPS
  • Programs:  You can enjoy society programs and attend both in-person and virtual meetings, and you will have unlimited access to any available program recordings, speaker notes and handouts.  Visit our Programs page for more details about current and past programs.
  • Exhibitions: You will be able to enter members' exhibitions, including judged exhibitions which may include cash or other valued awards.  Visit our Exhibitions page for more information about MAPS Exhibitions.
  • Workshops:  Members are given early and exclusive registration to workshops sponsored by MAPS; usually, MAPS sponsors 2-3 workshops each year with nationally recognized pastel instructors.  See our Workshops page for more information on current or past workshops.
  • Activities:  You will be able to participate in all members only activities, including special programs or field trips.
  • Newsletter and News:  You will receive our bi-monthly newsletter and other relevant news communications from the pastel world, including IAPS news.  Visit our Newsletter page to see current & past editions.
  • Online Art Gallery:  Members can exhibit a sampling of their pastel art in our Online Members Art Gallery, with links to their website, bio or email. Please visit our Art Gallery page for more information.

Renew Your MAPS Membership

Membership renewal dues are due by June 1st each year.  Don't lose out on all of our great membership benefits!  If not renewed by the end of our renewal period, you will no longer be able to take advantage of our offerings.  ☹️
