Artists' Studio Sale & Social; and Roundtable Wisdom
The Artists' Studio Sale is your opportunity to bring in items you want to sell or exchange.  Have you purchased a box of pastels you don’t like?  A book you don’t want? Paper you hate?  One artist’s junk is another artist’s treasure.  So start setting aside your sale items today.

During Roundtable Wisdom, members will share thoughts about pastel supplies, equipment, and techniques…and more.  If you want to bring a painting or a supply or something to share, please do so.  Not feeling particularly wise?  Get ready to learn and absorb from others.

Betsy Kellum Presentation & Demo:
Pastel Painting from Photographs:  Tools, Plans & Techniques

You asked for it and you are getting it!!!  What’s that?  Demonstrations were one of the top program picks in our recent member survey.  A MAPS member and our interim membership chair, Betsy Kellum, agreed to do a demonstration for us at our March program. This program is titled: PASTEL PAINTING FROM PHOTOGRAPHS: TOOLS, PLANS & TECHNIQUES.  This is an instructional demonstration from a master!  How did we get so lucky?  Go to http://www.betsykellum.com and see what I mean!  We are looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Betsy Kellum is a nationally recognized and award winning pastellist.  She has been published in national publications such as The Pastel Journal, American Art Collector, The Best of Virginia; Artists & Artisans,The Best of America; Pastels and others.  She is also a signature members of the Pastel Society of America, Pastel Society of the West Coast (Distinguished Pastelist), Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, Southeastern Pastel Society and Maryland Pastel Society.  As well as teaching adult art classes, she has served as juror and judge for the local, state and regional level.

Doors open at 6:30 pm; the Vendor Fair runs until 7:15 when we'll break for our Annual/Business meeting and installation of officers, with a door prize drawing at the end of the meeting; then the fair reopens until closing at 8:30 pm. Refreshments will be available throughout.
