Our September Member Meeting will be a real treat! We will meet at the Collections and Conservation Building at Colonial Williamsburg. This area is not open to the public and can only be visited by special arrangement.

Our program will consist of two parts: Kate Rogers, Associate Curator of Paintings, Drawings, and Sculpture, will give a talk about the pastel collection with slides and several of the paintings from the collection that will be passed around for us to look at. For the second part of the program, we will visit one of the conservation labs where one of the conservators will talk about and demonstrate some of the conservation activities. The conservator who will meet with us is a pastel expert.

We will meet for lunch and a brief business meeting at the Bruton Heights School Education Center 301 1st Street, Williamsburg, VA at 12:15 after which we will walk across the green to the Collections and Conservation Building at 1:00.
